Scott and I are big on picnics. We went on a lot last year and I love them. We took Jeffrey on his first picnic last week. He’s still in a stage of sleeping almost constantly. Our days go like this: eat, play for 20 minutes tops, sleep until it’s time to eat again (every 1.5 to 2.5 hours) so it’s kind of tricky to do a lot of things outside of the house still without a cranky baby (he hates sleep lately and fights really hard).
But he laid on the blanket for about 20 minutes before fussing and gave us enough time to eat at least! I think next time we’ll try going just as he’s falling asleep so he sleeps in the car and the first half of the picnic and then we’ll bring a bottle for him to eat when he wakes up and then can play for a bit before getting fussy. It should give us at least an hour next time, hopefully. Either way, I can’t wait for next summer it’ll be so much more fun!
